PowerPoint

Non-linear PowerPoints are a great and effective way to utilize interactive learning within the classrooms. These are not typical PowerPoints in which the students view slides; these provide an opportunity for student interaction with the content. The non-linear PowerPoint that I chose to do was Multiplication Jeopardy. This is actually an activity that I have done in the past, but on my dry erase board. I am excited to use this interactive version with my class this year. This is made for third grade students. With that said, I have altered the game in order to spare student confusion. I gave the questions first, then the answers, instead of the answers first and having the students answer with the question. The typical jeopardy version may work for some third grade classrooms, but with my lower SES student environment, I'm afraid that would be too complex to be effective.
